CryptoNotes^™

"If you say that you love me that is between you and I and those words will stay with me forever, I will not forget it even though it is not recorded anywhere."

This is the way it used to be and how we handle it here: private words between two people, remembered by hearts, not servers.

What Is CryptoNotes™?

CryptoNotes™ is our trademarked, end-to-end encrypted messaging system built exclusively for Love Yellow Pages members. It's not just another chat app — it's a fundamentally different approach to digital communication:

Zero message storage: No databases, no data centers, no cloud backups of your conversations.
24-hour auto-deletion: Messages cryptographically shred themselves after 24 hours.
Instant manual deletion: One tap — "Shred" button — and the message is gone forever.
Friend-gated: You only receive messages from people you've accepted as friends.
Your keys, your device: Private keys never leave your phone (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).

How It Works

🔐

E2E Encryption

X25519 + ChaCha20-Poly1305 via libsodium. Only you and your friend can read.

⏱️

24-Hour Lifecycle

Auto-shred timer starts on delivery. Manual shred anytime.

🤝

Friend Requests

Mutual acceptance required. Un-friend anytime = instant block.

📱

Phone ID

Your phone number = your CryptoNotes™ ID. Linked to your LYP account.

Technical Architecture

Zero-Knowledge Architecture: • Client generates Ed25519 key pair on first launch • Private key stored in Secure Enclave (iOS) / StrongBox (Android) • Public key uploaded to directory server • Web platform NEVER has access to either key Friend-Filter Gateway: • Server checks Friendships table (mutual ACCEPTED status) • No friendship = message dropped at gateway • Un-friend = immediate routing revocation Offline Queue (24-hr TTL): • Encrypted payload queued if recipient offline • SQL Agent job purges every 15 minutes • On recipient login: download + immediate server DELETE Local Secure Shredding: • SQLCipher local database on device • Manual/Auto delete → secure overwrite (random bytes) • Forensic recovery impossible
